School Council

The School Council consists of a boy and a girl from each class. Each individual class votes for their 2 representatives.

The school council meet regularly on a Wednesday dinnertime to discuss a range of school related topics. They are the voice for their individual class and share issues and concerns other children in their class have.

The school council actively support charity events, organising activities, designing and making posters to place around the school to advertise the fundraising, before helping to run the activities. After the events finish, the children on the school council often write pieces for the school’s newsletter. When creating the activities, the children on the council try to make things suitable for all ages.  For the younger children the school council designed and made a colouring competition. The children have also led songs and other activities in assemblies.

The school council play an important role in representing our school in the wider community, for example attending the annual Service of Remembrance at Hayle War Memorial.
